An independent reference for car wraps — costs, brands, finishes, and installers. No paid placements. No kickbacks. Just the honest comparison we wish existed.
Why this site exists
Most car-wrap content on the internet falls into one of three buckets:
- Wrap shop pages — selling their own service, naturally biased toward whatever they install
- Film brand pages — selling their own film, naturally biased toward whatever they make
- AI-generated listicles — pulled from press releases, often factually wrong, no real installer experience
None of those are useful when you're trying to decide whether to wrap your car, what color, what brand of film, or what to pay. Wrappered is built to fill that gap.
What we are
- Independent — not owned by a wrap shop, film brand, or car company
- Educational — no paid editorial coverage
- Practical — every price, every recommendation comes from real-world installer feedback and verified product specs
- Honest about trade-offs — there's no perfect wrap, and we'll tell you the downsides
What we are not
- A wrap shop. We don't install wraps.
- A reseller. We don't sell film.
- A bot. Every page is written by humans with installer input.
- An affiliate-link farm. Some outbound links may be affiliate links — disclosed when used — but we won't recommend something solely because it pays us.
How we make money
Three streams:
- Display ads on content pages (never in the calculator or configurator).
- Featured listings in our shop directory — shops can pay to highlight their listing, but baseline directory inclusion is free.
- Affiliate commissions on outbound links to tools and films (e.g. Amazon, ShopShine). Disclosed when used.
We don't take money from film brands for editorial coverage. We don't take money from shops for positive reviews. If we did, this site would be just like every other car-wrap site, and there's no point building another one of those.
The name
Wrappered.com started in 2018 as a different project entirely — a crypto NFT wrapping tool. That project wound down. The domain stayed. As we surveyed where to point it next, the car wrap category was an obvious match: large search volume, huge consumer confusion, no clear independent reference. So here we are.
